Teaching Assistant

About the role
Our primary schools across Lincoln are getting busier, and we're looking for more Teaching Assistants to join Heart of Supply for classroom-based support. From helping pupils with their learning and working with small groups to supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom, no two assignments will be exactly the same. We have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, ranging from flexible day-to-day work to regular and longer-term roles. Work locally, in local schools. Register with us so you’re updated as new Teaching Assistant opportunities become available across Lincoln.
About the school
We work with a growing network of primary schools across Lincoln and the surrounding area, supporting them with day-to-day absence, additional classroom support and longer-term staffing requirements. Some schools need an extra pair of hands for the day, while others are looking for a Teaching Assistant to become a regular part of their classroom over a longer period. We'll get to know your experience, the age groups you enjoy working with and the type of role you're looking for, helping to match you with local schools that suit you.
What you will need
  • Previous experience working with children, within a UK primary school or educational setting
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous, but not essential for all roles
  • A positive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to support pupils across the classroom
  • The ability to work with individuals and small groups, following guidance from the class teacher
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Reliability, flexibility and a willingness to get involved in the school day
  • A minimum of 6 weeks' experience working with children in the UK
We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
