KS2 Teachers

About the role
Demand for KS2 Teachers across Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire is growing, and we're looking for more teachers to support the local primary schools we work with.

We're recruiting across Years 3 to 6, with opportunities including day-to-day supply, planned cover, regular bookings and longer-term teaching roles.

Whether you're an ECT looking to gain experience across different year groups, an experienced KS2 Teacher wanting more flexibility, or simply looking for your next role, we'll get to know what works for you.

Teach locally, in local schools. Build relationships with schools you enjoy working in, return to familiar classrooms and have a local team who knows the type of work you're looking for.
About the school
We work with a varied network of primary schools across Scunthorpe and the wider North Lincolnshire area, including maintained schools, academies and Church of England schools.

You could spend one week supporting a smaller village primary and the next working within a larger school with several classes across KS2. Some schools need teachers for occasional absence and PPA cover, while others are looking for consistency over several weeks or a full term.

Whether your strength is lower KS2, Years 5 and 6, or you're happy teaching across the whole key stage, we'll use what we know about you and our schools to find local opportunities that are a good match.
What you will need
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 and a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • A nurturing, flexible teaching approach and the ability to connect quickly with younger pupils
  • Confident classroom presence with positive and consistent behaviour management
  • The ability to follow pre-set work while bringing your own energy and experience to the classroom
  • Clear communication, reliability and a proactive approach
  • A minimum of 6 weeks' teaching experience in the UK

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
