SEND Teaching Assistant 1:1

About the role
Heart of Supply is recruiting for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with autism and ADHD at a primary school in Market Rasen.

This is a part-time, morning role, working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide consistent support with learning, engagement, communication and emotional regulation.

We're looking for someone calm, patient and confident who understands how autism and ADHD can present differently for individual children and can adapt their approach accordingly.

Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is essential for this role.
About the school
This welcoming primary school in Market Rasen is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can become a consistent and familiar presence for the child each morning.

You'll work closely with teaching and SEND staff, following agreed strategies while building a positive relationship with the pupil and supporting them to access their learning and wider classroom environment.

As this is ongoing 1:1 support, reliability and consistency will be particularly important.

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism, ADHD and/or additional needs
  • Experience providing 1:1 support, ideally within a primary school or similar educational setting

  • Confidence supporting engagement with learning and following individual strategies or support plans
  • The ability to build a positive, trusting relationship while maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers and SEND staff
  • Reliability and the ability to commit consistently to a long-term morning role

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
