Supply Teacher

About the role
Want the flexibility of supply teaching while continuing to work in schools close to home?

Heart of Supply is working with a growing number of primary schools across Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire, and we're looking for more Primary Supply Teachers to join us.

Whether you want to work a couple of days each week, keep your diary busy with regular supply or find your next longer-term role, we have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Work locally, in local schools. Get to know different settings, build relationships with schools you'd happily return to and choose the type of work that fits around your preferences.
About the school
We support a varied mix of primary schools across Scunthorpe and the wider North Lincolnshire area, including maintained schools, academies and Church of England schools.

From smaller village primaries to larger schools with multiple classes in each year group, our schools come to us for everything from last-minute absence and PPA cover to planned assignments and longer-term vacancies.

Supply doesn't have to mean walking into a completely different school every day. As we get to know you and the schools you enjoy, we can help you build regular relationships with local schools and become someone they're happy to welcome back.
What you will need
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
  • Confidence teaching across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2, with a good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • A flexible and adaptable teaching approach, with the ability to settle quickly into different schools and classrooms
  • Confident classroom presence with positive and consistent behaviour management
  • The ability to follow pre-set planning and keep learning on track, while bringing your own experience and personality to the classroom
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and school staff
  • Reliability, professionalism and a proactive approach
  • A minimum of 6 weeks' teaching experience in the UK

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
