Supply Teacher

About the role
Looking for a teaching role in Lincoln without committing to one school or one year group?

Heart of Supply works with primary schools across Lincoln and the surrounding area, and as demand for supply continues to increase, we're looking for more Primary Supply Teachers to join us over the autumn term.

Choose the flexibility that works for you. You might want a couple of days each week, regular day-to-day supply, short-term assignments or something longer term. We have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, and we'll get to know the age groups and type of work you prefer.

Work locally, in local schools, build relationships with schools you enjoy returning to and have a local team available when you need us.
About the school
We support a wide range of primary schools across Lincoln and the surrounding villages, from smaller rural schools to larger city primaries.

Our schools come to us for daily absence, pre-planned cover, PPA, short-term requirements and longer-term vacancies, giving our teachers plenty of variety in how and when they work.

We take the time to understand the schools we work with and what you're looking for from supply. The aim is simple: local teaching opportunities, in schools you'll want to go back to.
What you will need
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
  • Confidence teaching across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2, with a good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • A flexible and adaptable teaching approach, with the ability to settle quickly into different schools and classrooms
  • Confident classroom presence with positive and consistent behaviour management
  • The ability to follow pre-set planning and keep learning on track, while bringing your own experience and personality to the classroom
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and school staff
  • Reliability, professionalism and a proactive approach
  • A minimum of 6 weeks' teaching experience in the UK

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
