Heart of Supply is looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support our partner secondary schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll supervise lessons during the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged with the work provided, maintaining good behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.

What you will need
  • A degree-level qualification.
  • Recent referenceable experience working with children or young people in an educational, sporting, youth work, coaching, tutoring or similar setting.
  • Confidence supervising groups of pupils and maintaining a calm, purposeful learning environment.
  • Strong behaviour management skills, using clear expectations and positive reinforcement.
  • The ability to follow lesson plans provided by the class teacher and keep pupils engaged throughout the lesson.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • A proactive, reliable and organised approach, with the confidence to work independently in different school environments.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Heart of Supply.
