Heart of Supply is looking to connect with enthusiastic Year 1 Teachers and KS1 Primary Teachers ahead of the new academic year, supporting welcoming primary schools across Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas.

We regularly support schools looking for Year 1 Teachers for day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term teaching opportunities. Whether you're looking for greater flexibility, exploring different primary schools or searching for your next KS1 teaching role, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for nurturing and engaging Primary Teachers who understand the unique needs of Year 1 pupils, including the transition from EYFS into KS1. You'll be confident delivering the Year 1 curriculum, supporting early reading and phonics, creating positive classroom routines and adapting learning to meet the needs of individual children.

Whether you're an experienced KS1 Teacher, an ECT looking to build your classroom experience or a Primary Teacher with a particular passion for Year 1, we'll work with you to find opportunities that suit your skills, availability and what you're looking for next.

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
• A nurturing, flexible teaching approach with the ability to connect quickly with pupils across KS1
• Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management rooted in positive reinforcement
• The ability to follow pre-set work while bringing your own creativity and energy to the classroom
• Clear communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike
• A minimum of 6 weeks’ teaching experience in the UK

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.

£34,069 - £46,940 per annum, pro-rata (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)
